The proposed FY 2026 HUD budget would slash funding from $89.1 billion to $43.5 billion — a 51% year-over-year cut. The plan eliminates Community Development Block Grants ($3.3 billion), the HOME Investment Partnerships Program ($1.25 billion), and the Fair Housing Initiatives Program ($56 million in competitive grants). As Rep.
